Underground water survey

Site surveys that help you understand groundwater prospects before you decide whether to drill.

Equipment used while assessing a site for groundwater.

What this service covers

An underground water survey examines a site before a drilling decision is made. The method and the findings depend on the ground, the equipment and the information available for that location. A survey can help you plan. It cannot promise that water will be found, and it cannot promise how much water a future borehole will produce. Share the location and how you intend to use the water, and we will explain the survey we recommend and quote for that work.

Typical information we ask for

  • A clear location, including how the survey team can reach the site.
  • The area of the property you want assessed.
  • The purpose of the proposed water supply.
  • Any previous drilling or survey information you are able to share.

Survey results are an interpretation of site conditions. They are not a guarantee of groundwater or of a successful borehole.

How an enquiry proceeds

  1. 1. Send an enquiry. Share your name, location, the service you need and a short description of the project.
  2. 2. We review the request. The team reads the details and contacts you if more information is needed.
  3. 3. Site discussion. Where the work requires it, we arrange a conversation or a visit to understand access and conditions.
  4. 4. Quotation. You receive a quotation for the agreed scope. Nothing is scheduled until you accept it.
  5. 5. Work is scheduled. After acceptance, we agree a practical time to carry out the drilling, survey or installation.
